Inundation on Two Islands Fully Handled

The personnel of Seribu Islands Water Resources Sub-agency handled inundation in several areas on Panggang and Pramuka Islands, North Seribu Island District. Thanks to this handling, the floodwaters have now receded and environmental conditions have returned to normal.

We deployed 17 personnel to pump out water

Head of Seribu Island Water Resources Sub-agency, Mustajab said his party immediately deployed personnel after receiving reports from residents regarding flooding caused by blockages in the control tank and water channels.

"We deployed 17 personnel to pump out water using one pump unit until the flooding could be resolved immediately," he said, Tuesday (3/31).

Tanjung Priok Puddles Rapidly Resolved

Mustajab explained that flooding was seen at several points on Panggang Island, including RT 01/02, RT 02/02, and RT 06/02 with water levels ranging from seven to 10 centimeters.

According to him, similar handling was also run on Pramuka Island, precisely at RT 04/05, RT 01/05, and RT 04/04.

"We will continue to monitor and ensure the water channels are functioning optimally. We also urge the public to maintain environmental cleanliness to prevent blockages," he emphasized.

Meanwhile, Head of Panggang Urban Village, Jamaluddin appreciated the quick response of the sub-agency and personnel.

"We appreciate the officers' prompt work. Thank God, the floodwaters receded quickly, and residents' activities were not disrupted for long," he admitted.
